Only a 20-minute drive from downtown Los Angeles, the Port not only boasts a bustling cruise center serving destinations to the popular Mexican Riviera and beyond, but also the scenic Cabrillo Beach for public swimming, boating and fishing, a vintage Pacific Electric Red Car rail line, Ports O' Call Village, and entertaining summertime events for the entire family, including the nation's largest Lobster Festival. In downtown San Pedro -- all within a five mile radius -- you'll find historical landmarks, parks, museums, one-of-a-kind art galleries, shops and restaurants and unique treasures from yesteryear such as the Warner Grand Theater.

Art in San Pedro at Angels Gate Cultural Center, First Thursday art walks, and the San Pedro Arts Association. And a Fletcher Martin mural at the Post Office.

Go see the USS Lane Victory.  She's the only fully restored and certified WW II Victory ship in the world.  You can even book a Catalina Island cruise on her, complete with a vintage fighter plane dog fight overhead! USS Lane Victory.

Named after General Douglas MacArthur's father, Fort MacArthur is right across the street from La Corona Del Mar.  Check out:  Fort MacArthur Museum.

Famous Santa Catalina Island is only 22 miles away. You can catch the Catalina Express from Berth 95.

Williams Bookstore is the oldest, continuously operating bookstore in Los Angeles.

Shakespeare by the Sea started at Pt. Fermin in 1997. They opened Little Fish Theatre in downtown San Pedro in 2002.

The Warner Grand Theatre has been in Downtown San Pedro since 1931, and is one of the few surviving Art Deco movie palaces. Check their schedule for classic films and pops concerts.

San Pedro was the first submarine base on the West Coast.  The California Military Museum.
